Title: Clinical Negligence Solicitor/CILEX Lawyer
Location: Manchester (Remote)
A leading Legal 500 law firm is seeking a Clinical Negligence Solicitor or CILEX Lawyer to join its highly regarded team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a Band 1 Chambers ranked practice, handling high quality claimant clinical negligence matters within a flexible, largely remote working environment.
The Opportunity
You will join a successful and growing Clinical Negligence team, working on a varied caseload of complex matters. The role offers the chance to take ownership of your files while also supporting junior colleagues and contributing to the wider performance and development of the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a caseload of Clinical Negligence claims from inception to conclusion
- Drafting legal documents, issuing proceedings and negotiating settlements
- Coordinating case progression with clients, experts and other parties
- Supporting team members with case strategy and progression
- Assisting the Team Leader in achieving financial and performance targets
- Identifying opportunities for settlement and progressing matters efficiently
About You
- Qualified Solicitor or CILEX Lawyer with 4+ years PQE in Clinical Negligence
- Strong organisational, communication and drafting skills
- Experience managing a caseload independently
- Ability to mentor and support junior team members
- Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office, Proclaim and Excel
- Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to case management
