We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician to join a busy, professional, and friendly workshop team based in Hounslow. This is an excellent long-term opportunity offering consistent hours, competitive pay, and a supportive working environment.
This role would suit a skilled technician with strong diagnostic abilities, excellent mechanical knowledge, and a proactive approach to maintenance and repair work.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine servicing and maintenance on HGV vehicles
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults efficiently
- Complete vehicle inspections and identify potential issues
- Use diagnostic equipment and specialist tools effectively
- Repair and replace components including engines, transmissions, and brakes
- Order parts and materials as required
- Maintain accurate service and repair records
- Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety standards
- Keep the workshop clean, safe, and organised
Requirements
- Previous experience working as an HGV Technician, or PSV Technician
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Good knowledge of HGV systems and vehicle maintenance
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent
- Time served technicians will also be considered
