Legal Secretary / Conveyancing Assistant Location: Summertown, Oxford Salary: Commensurate with Experience
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Legal Secretary / Conveyancing Assistant to join a highly regarded Residential Property team in Oxford. Supporting a Partner, this role offers a varied workload and the opportunity to develop within a busy and professional environment.
No previous legal experience is required, making this an ideal opportunity for candidates with strong administrative, secretarial, PA or office support experience.
Key Responsibilities
• Audio typing and document production • Providing comprehensive administrative support including file opening, filing, archiving and document management • Managing emails, post, cheque requests and general correspondence • Preparing letters, forms and legal documents • Arranging scanning, photocopying and document processing • Handling enquiries from clients and agents by telephone and in person • Organising meetings and appointments • Updating and maintaining case management systems • Supporting the team with additional administrative duties as required
About You
• Previous experience in a secretarial, assistant, PA or administrative role • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Professional and personable approach when dealing with clients and colleagues
Desirable Experience
• Experience within a legal or conveyancing environment • Familiarity with case management systems • Experience using BigHand transcription software
