We are currently recruiting for an Estate Officer to join a busy Social Housing team on an initial 4-week temporary contract, with an ASAP start available. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in caretaking, estate services, grounds maintenance, or a similar hands-on role.
Your new role
Working as part of a team of three, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving the appearance of housing estates across a designated patch of approximately 500 properties. The patch is divided between the team, and you will operate from an onsite base.
Daily duties will include:
- Litter picking across housing estates
- Removal of fly-tipped waste
- Weeding and general grounds maintenance
- Basic gardening and upkeep of communal areas
- Replacing light bulbs and carrying out minor estate maintenance tasks
- Ensuring estates are clean, safe, and well-presented for residents
- Reporting any maintenance or health and safety issues identified on site
What you'll need to succeed
- Full UK driving licence essential (van provided)
- Previous experience within caretaking, estate services, grounds maintenance, or a similar role is desirable
- Good work ethic and willingness to undertake physical work
