Purchasing Specialist Vacancy

Join our dynamic purchasing team, where you will play a crucial role in managing product supplies for the Construction and Utility sectors. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in supplier interactions and supports a fast-paced sales team to ensure goods are supplied at competitive prices and minimal lead times.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Monitor and maintain stock levels using our ERP system.
- Raise purchase orders to replenish stocks and monitor overdue purchase orders.
- Negotiate pricing terms with suppliers and manage purchase rebates.
- Seek out new suppliers and build strong, productive relationships.
- Support the sales and operations teams by ensuring smooth supply chain management.
- Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies.
- Regularly meet with supplier representatives to ensure alignment and address any issues.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years purchasing experience in a commercial and technical environment.
- Proficiency in raising orders and negotiating prices with suppliers.
- Strong focus on customer service and satisfaction.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a conscientious, reliable approach.
- Team player with efficient, diplomatic, and self-motivated characteristics.
- Passionate about delivering excellent customer service and achieving results right the first time.
- Excellent timekeeping and attendance record.
