SJC Partners is recruiting on behalf of a well-established law firm in York for a Post Completions Assistant to join their busy property team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and detail-focused individual to join a supportive legal environment, assisting with the post-completion stages of residential property transactions.

The Role You will be responsible for supporting the conveyancing team with all post-completion matters, ensuring files are accurately finalised and compliant.
Key duties include:

  • Submitting and managing Land Registry applications
  • Dealing with SDLT submissions and returns
  • Handling requisitions from HM Land Registry
  • Updating case management systems accurately
  • Preparing and organising completion documentation
  • Liaising with fee earners, clients, and third parties as required
  • Ensuring all post-completion tasks are processed in a timely and compliant manner

About You The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in a conveyancing or post-completions role 
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good understanding of the conveyancing process (desirable)
  • Confident communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a busy, deadline-driven environment
