Resourcery Group is delighted to be partnering with a well-established education organisation based in Manchester to recruit an experienced HR Lead.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an accomplished HR professional who enjoys operating as a true generalist and wants to play a key role within a values-led organisation that is making a genuine difference. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, you'll have the autonomy to shape and lead the people agenda, working closely with senior leaders across a growing multi-site organisation.

The Role
As HR Lead, you'll take ownership of the full employee lifecycle, providing expert HR advice and ensuring best practices across all people matters.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading on complex employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, absence, capability and performance management.
- Providing expert employment law advice and coaching managers on HR best practice.
- Managing end-to-end recruitment, from drafting job descriptions through to onboarding new employees.
- Ensuring safer recruitment practices and compliance are maintained at all times.
- Reviewing and updating HR policies, procedures and employment documentation.
- Managing HR systems, employee records and payroll-related processes.
- Producing HR metrics and reports to support strategic decision-making.
- Supporting organisational development, change initiatives and leadership capability.
- Promoting an inclusive, positive workplace culture where colleagues can thrive.
About You
We're looking for someone who brings both technical expertise and a practical, solutions-focused approach.
You'll ideally have:
- CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent experience), with Level 7 advantageous.
- At least five years' experience in a generalist HR role.
- Strong employment law knowledge with experience managing complex employee relations cases independently.
- Experience advising senior stakeholders with confidence and credibility.
- Knowledge of safer recruitment and compliance within regulated environments.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong analytical skills and experience producing meaningful people data and reports.
- Outstanding communication skills and the confidence to positively challenge and influence senior leaders.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with exceptional attention to detail.
Experience within education, further education, SEND or another regulated sector would be advantageous but is not essential.
What's on Offer
- Salary of £45,000
- Predominatly home based working with occasional national travel (own transport required)
- 37.5-hour working week (Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm)
- 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays
