Due to continued investment and growth, they are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join their engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated engineer to play a key role in driving process improvements, supporting production operations, and helping the business maintain its high standards of quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for developing, improving, and supporting manufacturing processes across machining, welding, fabrication, and assembly operations.
Manufacturing Engineer – Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain efficient manufacturing processes and production methods. • Create and update work instructions, process documentation, and manufacturing routings. • Support new product introduction activities, ensuring smooth transition into production. • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, quality, and cost performance. • Investigate production issues and implement effective corrective actions. • Work closely with production teams to optimise workflows and manufacturing efficiency. • Support the design and implementation of tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing aids. • Conduct process capability studies and root cause investigations. • Liaise with quality, production, and design teams to ensure manufacturing requirements are achieved. • Assist with capacity planning and manufacturing improvement projects.
Manufacturing Engineer – Candidate Requirements
• HNC/HND, Degree, or equivalent qualification in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline. • Proven experience within a manufacturing engineering role. • Experience working in machining, fabrication, welding, or assembly environments. • Strong understanding of engineering drawings and manufacturing processes. • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies. • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities. • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced engineering environment.
