OVERVIEW: • Manage a varied caseload of criminal defence matters. • Attend police stations and represent clients before the Magistrates' Court. • Assist with Crown Court matters alongside experienced colleagues. • Participate in the duty solicitor rota, including out-of-hours call-outs. • Deliver timely, practical and robust legal advice while maintaining exceptional client care. • Suitable for qualified Solicitors with a minimum of 1 year's PQE. • Current Duty Solicitor Accreditation is essential. • Experience handling criminal defence matters and confidence attending police stations and Magistrates' Court hearings required. • Strong advocacy, communication and client care skills are essential. • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities. • Proactive approach with excellent attention to detail and professionalism. • Join a respected criminal defence firm with a loyal client base and an excellent local reputation. • Supportive, forward-thinking team environment with modern case management systems. • Ongoing training, professional development and clear opportunities for long-term career progression. • Competitive salary plus on-call enhancements.
