Days/Hours: Full Time (Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm)
Location: Barry
Pay: £92.63 – £95 per day
Teaching Personnel is working closely with a number of welcoming primary schools across Barry that are looking for enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join their teams.
We are seeking individuals who are committed to making a positive impact on children's learning and development. You will work alongside teachers and support staff to create a safe, engaging, and nurturing learning environment where pupils can thrive.
Expectations
- Support pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups to enhance learning and engagement.
- Assist pupils in developing confidence, independence, and positive learning behaviours.
- Promote the safeguarding, welfare, and wellbeing of all pupils.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents where appropriate.
- Support classroom activities and contribute to a positive learning environment.
About the Candidate
Ideally, you will have:
- Experience working with children, either within an educational setting or through other relevant roles.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive attitude and the ability to use your initiative.
- A genuine passion for supporting children's education and development.
What You Will Need
- An Enhanced Child DBS registered on the Update Service.
- A current EWC (Education Workforce Council) registration.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
