Field Service Engineer

We are working with a highly respected engineering organisation operating within a specialised, technically advanced sector. Due to continued growth and project demand, they are seeking a Field Service Engineer to join their team.
The Role
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and support of complex engineering systems at customer sites across the UK (and occasionally overseas). This is a hands-on role requiring strong fault-finding skills, technical expertise, and a customer-focused approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation, commissioning and servicing of engineered systems and equipment
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs both on-site and remotely
- Supporting customers with technical queries and ensuring high service standards
- Producing clear service reports and documentation
- Collaborating with internal engineering and support teams
- Ensuring all work is carried out in line with safety and regulatory standards
About You
- Background in electrical, mechanical or electro-mechanical engineering
- Previous experience in a field service or mobile engineering role
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working independently and travelling to customer sites
- Good communication skills and a professional approach to customer interaction
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable
- Experience working within highly regulated or safety-critical environments
- Understanding of complex systems or technical equipment
- Ability to obtain security clearance (if required)
