Tax Assistant Manager – Corporate Tax

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Tax Manager to join a leading international professional services firm in either their Birmingham or Nottingham office.
Working as part of a highly regarded Corporate Tax team, you will advise a diverse portfolio of clients ranging from owner-managed businesses to large multinational groups. This role offers excellent exposure to complex corporate tax matters, a collaborative working environment, and genuine opportunities for career progression.
The Role
As an Assistant Tax Manager, you will:
- Manage a portfolio of corporate tax clients, ensuring compliance obligations are met efficiently and accurately.
- Prepare and review corporate tax computations and returns.
- Support on a range of advisory projects, including restructures, acquisitions, international tax matters, and tax planning initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted point of contact.
- Work closely with senior stakeholders across the business and contribute to the development of junior team members.
- Identify opportunities to add value and deliver commercially focused tax advice.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- ACA, ACCA and/or CTA qualification (or be nearing completion).
- Previous experience within Corporate Tax gained in practice.
- Strong technical knowledge and a keen interest in advisory work.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- A proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
