Manufacturing Team Leader

Elevation Recruitment Group are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established UK manufacturer looking for an experienced Manufacturing Team Leader to join their operations team, based in Derby.
Reporting into the operations Manager, you'll play a key role in motivating your team, maintaining operational discipline and ensuring products meet customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities of the Manufacturing Team Leader include:
- Lead, coach and develop a team of manufacturing operatives
- Monitor production schedules and implement recovery plans where required
- Complete production audits, ensuring all production areas are fully equipped with materials
- Deliver on-the-job training and support operator development
- Drive high standards of Health & Safety and promote a positive safety first culture
- Complete daily process compliance checks and maintain production documentation
- Manage attendance, performance reviews and employee development
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and process updates
- Work collaboratively with production planning and other departments to achieve business objectives
We’re keen to speak with experienced Manufacturing Leaders with the below skills & experience:
- Previous leadership experience within medium to high-volume manufacturing
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and motivate others
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office, with experience using ERP/MRP systems
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- A proactive, organised and hands-on approach
- Experience within regulated manufacturing such as engineering, chemical processing, defence, automotive or similar would be advantageous
- Lean Manufacturing and/or IOSH qualifications would be beneficial but are not essential
Please be aware this role is physically demanding covering a large site, and working outdoors.
