Pay: £14.25 – £16.65 per hour (PAYE or Umbrella)

The Role:

Reeson Education is recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the M20 area from September. This full-time, long-term Teaching Assistant role will run for the full academic year and will involve supporting pupils within a Lower KS2 class.

This Teaching Assistant position is ideal for someone who enjoys building strong relationships with children, supporting learning across the curriculum, and helping pupils develop both academically and socially. The successful Teaching Assistant will work closely with the class teacher, providing general classroom support whilst also assisting pupils who may require additional help to access learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teaching and learning as a Teaching Assistant within a Lower KS2 classroom
  • Provide general classroom support as a Teaching Assistant throughout the school day
  • Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning objectives
  • Support pupils with varying abilities and additional learning needs
  • Help adapt activities and resources to ensure all pupils can access learning
  • Promote positive behaviour and engagement as a Teaching Assistant
  • Assist with classroom organisation, preparation of resources, and displays
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents as a Teaching Assistant
  • Support pupils' confidence, independence, and overall development
  • Uphold safeguarding and school policies as a professional Teaching Assistant

Teaching Assistant Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a primary school
  • Experience supporting pupils within KS2 is desirable
  • A positive, patient, and nurturing approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to support pupils with a range of learning needs
  • Commitment to helping children achieve their full potential
  • Reliable, professional, and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant
