Exciting Opportunity for a HLTA
We are currently recruiting for a motivated and adaptable Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a nurturing and inclusive primary school in the Eastleigh area. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HLTA or someone with equivalent experience looking to make a meaningful impact in this role.
The successful HLTA will work closely with teachers, SEND staff, and pupils to deliver high-quality learning support, interventions, and class cover.
Key Responsibilities of the HLTA Role:
- Provide planned and ad-hoc class cover across year groups
- Deliver booster sessions and targeted interventions to raise attainment
- Support pupils with SEND and EHCP targets
- Work collaboratively with teachers and the wider support team
- Promote positive behaviour and engagement
- Follow guidance from external agencies to meet individual needs
- Build nurturing relationships to help pupils overcome barriers to learning
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times
What We're Looking For in an HLTA:
- HLTA qualification or equivalent experience (or willingness to complete training)
- Experience supporting pupils with additional needs
- A flexible, proactive, and reflective approach
- Ability to extend learning and promote inclusion
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) who is passionate about helping every child thrive
