We are recruiting for a Finance Assistant to join a busy finance team, with a particular focus on the purchase ledger function. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in maintaining accuracy and is looking to develop their finance career within a well-established organisation.
About the role:
Working as part of a collaborative finance team, you will take ownership of day-to-day purchase ledger activities while also supporting wider transactional finance processes.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Processing high volumes of supplier invoices
- Matching, coding and posting invoices accurately
- Supplier statement reconciliations
- Resolving supplier queries and discrepancies
- Assisting with payment runs
- Managing supplier accounts and maintaining strong relationships
- Supporting month-end processes
- Assisting with other transactional finance duties as required
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience within a Finance Assistant or Purchase Ledger role
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Confident working with finance systems and Excel
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to manage workloads and prioritise effectively in a busy environment
- Positive, proactive approach with a willingness to support the wider finance team
