We are working in partnership with a growing and highly regarded law firm to appoint a Solicitor or Associate into its Litigation team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated litigator to join a collaborative and forward-thinking team, handling a diverse caseload while contributing to the continued growth of the department.
The Role
You will manage a varied and engaging caseload, advising clients across a broad range of contentious matters, including:
- Commercial litigation
- Property disputes
- Insolvency matters
- Contractual disputes
- General civil litigation matters
The position offers a strong mix of fee-earning responsibility, client contact, and involvement in wider team development.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage your own litigation caseload from instruction through to resolution
- Provide clear, commercially focused legal advice to clients
- Conduct advocacy where appropriate and instruct Counsel when required
- Supervise and support Trainees and Paralegals
- Assist Partners with mentoring, workflow management, and quality assurance
- Maintain high standards of client care and file compliance
- Take ownership of financials, including billing, WIP and debt recovery
- Support business development activity and build client relationships
- Contribute to departmental improvements, precedents, and internal knowledge sharing
- Collaborate with colleagues across the wider firm
The Successful Candidate
- Qualified Solicitor (NQ–4 years PQE) with litigation experience
- Strong working knowledge of Civil Procedure Rules and SRA regulations
- Confident managing matters independently
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
- Commercially aware with a client-focused approach
- Organised, detail-oriented, and able to prioritise effectively
- An interest in mentoring junior colleagues and contributing to team success
