We are currently working with a highly regarded legal firm to recruit a Legal Secretary to join their Commercial Real Estate team in Glasgow. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a busy and collaborative department, supporting experienced fee earners while developing your own skills and knowledge within a fast-paced legal environment.
The successful candidate will be organised, proactive, and confident managing a varied workload while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
The Role
You will provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to busy fee earners within the Commercial Real Estate team.
Key responsibilities include:
• Meeting and greeting clients • Managing digital dictation • Typing correspondence and legal documentation • Liaising with clients and responding to day-to-day enquiries • Producing, amending, and proofreading documents • Collating and organising legal paperwork • Drafting Land and Buildings Transaction Tax Returns (LBTT) • Opening, maintaining, reviewing, and closing files • Managing diaries and coordinating appointments • Supporting client onboarding processes • Assisting with fee preparation and billing administration
Essential Skills & Experience
• Previous experience within a Legal Secretary or Legal Administration role • Strong document production and formatting skills • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy • Strong organisational and time management skills • Confident communication skills, both written and verbal • Experience using Microsoft Office packages
