Role Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Private Client Solicitor to join a growing Private Wealth team undertaking complex, high-quality work. The role offers exposure to sophisticated estate and tax planning matters, including cross-border wealth structuring, succession planning and advising entrepreneurial families. Alongside managing your own caseload, you will play an active role in mentoring junior lawyers, supporting business development initiatives and contributing to the continued growth of a highly respected practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise high-net-worth individuals, business owners and internationally mobile clients on complex estate, tax and succession planning matters.
• Manage sophisticated private client matters including wills, trusts, LPAs, inheritance tax planning and cross-border estate structures.
• Advise family-owned businesses on succession planning, governance arrangements and tax-efficient business asset transfers.
• Work closely with colleagues across other practice areas on business restructures, shareholder matters and wealth preservation strategies.
• Supervise and mentor junior lawyers, supporting their technical and professional development.
• Build and maintain long-term client relationships while contributing to networking, marketing and business development initiatives.
• Ensure exceptional client service, strong financial performance and compliance with regulatory and risk management standards.

Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor with 5+ years PQE in Private Client.
• Strong technical expertise across wills, trusts, estate administration and tax planning.
• Experience advising high-net-worth and internationally connected clients.
• Excellent knowledge of inheritance tax, capital gains tax, trusts and succession planning.
• Experience advising business owners on succession and wealth preservation.
• STEP and/or CTA qualification preferred.
• Excellent drafting, communication and analytical skills.
• Experience supervising or mentoring junior team members.
• Commercially minded with an interest in business development and client relationship management.
