A specialist education recruitment agency is seeking a compassionate and motivated Psychology Graduate to join a welcoming SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school in Leicester this August. The Role
As a Psychology Graduate, you'll work closely with pupils who require additional emotional, behavioural, and social support. You'll play a key role in helping students overcome barriers to learning, build confidence, and achieve positive outcomes both inside and outside the classroom.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting students on a 1:1 and small group basis.
- Building positive relationships with pupils who have SEMH needs.
- Assisting teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
- Encouraging emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies.
- Helping create a safe, supportive, and nurturing learning environment.
- Working alongside teachers, SEN professionals, and pastoral staff to support individual learning plans.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- A degree in Psychology (or a closely related subject).
- A genuine passion for supporting children and young people.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, resilience, and a positive attitude.
- Experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential.
- An interest in pursuing a career in education, psychology, or mental health.
