SEN Teaching Assistant
Age Range – EYFS SEN 1:1 8:30 – 3:30
Location: Honor Oak, Southwark
Start Date: September 26 – July 27
Contract: Full-time, Long-term
Salary: £95-126.38 per day, increasing after 12 weeks
SEN Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support for a child in EYFS who requires support when becoming dysregulated.
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour strategies.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports the child's emotional, social, and academic development.
- Monitor student progress and communicate with staff and parents regarding their development.
SEN Teaching Assistant Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children with additional needs
- Passionate about the Early Years Curriculum
- Strong understanding of SEN, particularly in relation to de-escalation techniques
- Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
- A proactive and flexible approach to supporting individual student needs.
