Newstaff Employment Services is currently seeking a skilled Injection Mould Toolmaker/Engineer to join a busy team.
The ideal candidate will have around 4 years toolmaking experience.
In this role, you will be responsible for the manufacture, modification, repair and maintenance of injection mould tools using the latest technology and you'll be based in a newly fitted toolroom.
This position requires a detail-oriented approach, problem-solving skills, and a strong understanding of injection moulding processes.
Responsibilities
- Maintenance and manufacture injection mould tools with precision and efficiency.
- Operate CNC machines, lathes, and milling machines to create tooling components.
- Assemble, test, and modify moulds to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Conduct regular maintenance and repairs on existing mould tools.
- Collaborate with other team members to continuously improve tooling processes.
- Document tooling specifications and production processes for quality assurance.
- Use of CNC wire eroder
- Using hand tools such as files, hacksaws and grinders
- Use of lathes
- Wiring of Hot runner systems and fault finding
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Injection Mould Toolmaker/Engineer or similar role.
- NVQ or equivalent qualification in Toolmaking, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of injection moulding processes and tooling design.
- Proficient in using CNC machines, lathes, and other machining equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing environment.
