A beautiful Wyre Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 5/6 Teacher to join their team on a part-time basis, working every Friday from September for the full academic year. This is an excellent opportunity for a committed teacher looking for flexible working arrangements while maintaining a meaningful impact in the classroom.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Deliver engaging and high-quality lessons to a mixed Year 5/6 class.
- Plan, prepare, and assess work in line with the national curriculum.
- Maintain strong classroom management and a positive learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with the class teacher and wider staff team.
- Mark and provide constructive feedback in line with school policy.
- Ensure safeguarding and wellbeing of all pupils.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching in Key Stage 2 (preferably Upper KS2).
- Strong classroom management skills.
- A flexible and proactive approach to teaching.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Desirable:
- Experience teaching mixed-age classes.
- Familiarity with Year 6 expectations and SATs preparation.
