Two positions available — one based in Surrey, one based in London (Wembley & Streatham/Croydon)
A specialist facilities management contractor is seeking two experienced Supervisors to join a high-profile, multi-site contract – one covering the Surrey patch, one covering the London lots. Reporting into the Contract Manager, you'll take day-to-day ownership of operational delivery, team performance, and client relationships across your patch, staying hands-on and ready to step in on the ground when needed.
The Role
- Manage and motivate a team of grounds operatives across your patch, ensuring consistent quality and presentation on site
- Step in and work alongside the team as a Grounds Operative when required, leading by example during busy periods or staff shortages
- Set the standard for working, site presentation, productivity, and health & safety compliance, across your team
- Build positive day-to-day relationships with on-site client contacts, resolving issues quickly and professionally
- Support the Contract Manager with scheduling, resourcing, and day-to-day reporting
- Carry out regular site checks and inspections to maintain quality and compliance with visit schedules
- Performance-manage operatives directly, addressing underperformance constructively and consistently
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Grounds maintenance experience
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong people management skills; confident leading, motivating, and holding a team to account
Highly valued:
- Some experience in client or customer relationship management
- A hands-on, lead-by-example approach
- Well organised and reliable, with the confidence to set and maintain high standards on site
Location & Package
- Two positions available: Surrey, or London (covering Wembley and Streatham/Croydon)
- £35,000 salary
- Reporting to the Contract Manager for the account
