Management Accountant / Treasury Accountant

6 Month Contract | £300-£425 per day | North West London | Hybrid (2 days office)

The Opportunity

IN2 Consult are supporting a well-established organisation within the property sector in their search for an experienced Management Accountant / Treasury Accountant to join their finance team on an initial six-month contract.

Reporting to the Treasury Accounting Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the month-end close process, strengthening financial controls and helping the business through an ongoing finance systems transition.

This is a hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys working through complex reconciliations, improving processes and investigating data issues within a changing finance environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the month-end and quarter-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.

• Perform complex balance sheet reconciliations across treasury-related accounts.

• Investigate and resolve legacy data issues arising from the migration to a new finance system.

• Reconcile loan balances between legacy systems and the new ERP.

• Review and correct intercompany loan balances and interest postings.

• Investigate and resolve issues with funder codes and migrated master data.

• Improve financial controls and enhance treasury accounting processes.

• Work closely with the Treasury Accounting Manager to streamline month-end activities and improve team efficiency.

• Review accruals and treasury accounting journals to ensure completeness and accuracy.

• Support the cleansing, validation and reconciliation of migrated financial data.

• Assist with the accounting for a significant loan portfolio and associated financing costs.

• Collaborate with a small finance team to manage priorities during busy reporting periods.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will be a proactive finance professional who enjoys problem-solving, thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable working with complex data.

You will ideally have:

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification (or be qualified by experience).

• Strong financial accounting and balance sheet reconciliation experience.

• Previous treasury accounting experience.

• Understanding of Treasury Management Systems (TMS).

• Experience working with Workday Finance (highly desirable).

• Advanced Excel skills, including working with large datasets.

• Experience supporting finance system migrations or ERP implementations.

• Strong analytical and investigative skills with excellent attention to detail.

• Experience accounting for loans, interest accruals and intercompany transactions.

• A hands-on approach with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
