Robert Half is delighted to be supporting a global manufacturing organisation in the recruitment of a Commercial Finance Manager based at its site near Stirling.

This is a highly visible role that sits at the heart of the business, partnering closely with operational and senior leadership teams to drive financial performance, support strategic decision-making, and identify opportunities to improve profitability and cash generation.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting multiple operational areas, providing meaningful financial insight and challenge while helping deliver both short and long-term business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the lead finance business partner to key operational areas across the site.
  • Build strong relationships with operational leaders to understand performance drivers and support strategic decision-making.
  • Provide insightful financial analysis to identify risks, opportunities, and areas for performance improvement.
  • Support initiatives aimed at improving profitability, operational efficiency, and cash flow.
  • Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes for designated business areas.
  • Produce and present monthly management accounts and performance reporting.
  • Deliver detailed variance analysis, cost reporting, and business performance commentary.
  • Monitor inventory and operational costs, providing recommendations to improve financial outcomes.
  • Support investment appraisals, business cases, and commercial decision-making.
  • Ensure robust financial controls and compliance with internal policies and accounting standards.
  • Support internal and external audit requirements as required.
  • Work closely with the wider finance team and senior leadership to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

  • Qualified Accountant (CA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in a Finance Business Partner, Commercial Finance, Management Accounting, or Financial Analysis role.
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  • Experience providing financial insight to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Commercially minded with the ability to influence and challenge constructively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience working with financial reporting systems.
  • Previous experience within manufacturing, operations, supply chain, or a complex business environment would be advantageous.
