We are currently seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to work in the GB Materials Division of the Group, based in Derby.
You will provide critical financial administration support to a number of areas within the GB Materials business. This involves quarries, asphalt plants, concrete plants as well as our specialist products.
Key Responsibilities
- Participation in Health & Safety awareness and support across the sites
- Entry of month end journals for reporting
- Processing and Reconciliation of Stock Returns
- Assist with the production of site and area management accounts
- Provide support to the Finance team and ensure financial support needs of the Business are met
- Reconciliation of capital expenditure.
- Fixed Asset Verification works and Site Visits
- Production of post-month end reporting package and analysis
- Prepare Balance sheet reconciliations and ensure any differences are investigated and resolved
- Rent and Royalty payment proposals and reconciliations
- To ensure financial data is accurate and complete and coded correctly
- Assist with forecast and budget preparation and analysis for operational Area and associated overhead departments
- First-line support for queries
- All other duties or tasks as requested by your line manager
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Must be able to demonstrate a high level of written and numerical literacy
- AAT qualification or part qualification (CIMA, ACCA or ACA) is desirable
- Previous experience working in a Finance Department is desirable
- Competent user of Excel
