We are currently recruiting for the position of Vehicle Service Advisor on behalf of our client, a reputable franchise-approved car dealership based in Chippenham, Wiltshire. Duties of a Service Advisor:
- Greet customers promptly and professionally in the service department
- Book customer vehicles in for repairs and maintenance as a Service Advisor
- Liaise actively with the workshop to monitor progress on repairs
- Advise customers on minor technical issues and additional products/services
- Upsell where appropriate to enhance revenue
- Keep customers informed regarding vehicle progress
- Take payments and process documentation accurately
- Support warranty authorisations and liaise with manufacturers as required
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent communication and service standards
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet departmental targets and objectives
Requirements of a Service Advisor:
- Proven experience as a Service Advisor or in a similar customer service role within the motor industry
- Confident relationship-building and communication skills
- Strong organisational skills and IT proficiency; experience with Kerridge/Drive DMS is advantageous but not essential
- Knowledge of automotive warranty procedures is desirable but not mandatory
- Valid UK driving licence with minimal points
- Passion for automotive retail and customer service excellence
This role offers a structured working week from 8:00am to 6:00pm, Monday to Friday, with every other Saturday morning shift. Our client provides comprehensive training, career advancement opportunities, and a supportive team environment.
