Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Role Summary
We are seeking a confident and skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support teaching, deliver learning activities, and contribute to a positive, inclusive school environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lesson Delivery – Lead learning for individuals, groups, or whole classes.
- IEP Support – Assist with IEPs and monitor pupil progress.
- Classroom Environment – Maintain a calm, supportive, and structured learning space.
- Staff Support – Share are of expertise and help train colleagues.
- Supervision – Supervise pupils during trips and off-site activities.
About You
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent experience).
- Strong communication and clarity when giving instructions.
- Experience supporting pupils with SEND.
- Able to work independently and lead whole-class learning when needed.
- Patient, empathetic, and committed to individual pupil needs.
- A collaborative team player with a professional, confidential approach.
Contract Details
- Location: Waterlooville
- Hours: Mon, Tue, Wed & Fri 08:30-15:30
- Thu 08:30-16:00
- Salary (Pro Rata): £20,574.24-£22,636.10
- Start: ASAP/ September 2026
