Opportunity & Efficiencies Lead
Location: Falmer (Hybrid – typically 2-3 days onsite, flexible)
Salary: Up to £73,000 + potential sign-on bonus
Type: Permanent, full-time
About the role
We're looking for an Opportunity & Efficiencies Lead to join a major capital delivery function, supporting the delivery of large-scale infrastructure programmes across a multi-billion investment portfolio.
This is a high-impact, newly created role, where you'll work closely with senior stakeholders to identify, challenge, and implement efficiency opportunities across ongoing projects and programmes.
What you'll be doing
- Partnering with senior leaders (Programme Managers, Directors) to review delivery plans and project performance
- Identifying and driving cost savings and efficiency opportunities across capital programmes
- Challenging project assumptions, timelines, and delivery approaches
- Embedding process improvements and smarter ways of working
- Moving beyond analysis – delivering real, measurable savings and improvements
- Supporting the wider business in managing large-scale infrastructure investment
What we're looking for
- Experience in infrastructure, utilities, engineering or construction environments
- Background in capital projects / major programmes
- Strong experience in:
- Cost optimisation / efficiency
- Value engineering or continuous improvement
- Project or programme review
- Confident working with senior stakeholders and influencing decisions
- A proactive, self-starter mindset with the ability to drive change
