About the Role
A well-established Hampshire-based contractor is looking to appoint a Site Manager to deliver a £900k commercial refurbishment scheme located between Reading and Basingstoke.
The project is due to commence in around one month and will require a capable Site Manager who is confident taking ownership of day-to-day site delivery, subcontractor coordination, programme management and quality control.
This contractor has a strong regional presence and delivers projects across Hampshire, Berkshire and Surrey, working across a variety of sectors including commercial, education, healthcare, community, leisure, refurbishment, fit-out and small-to-medium new build schemes. Typical project values range from smaller fast-track refurbishments through to multi-million-pound regional projects. This is a good opportunity for a Site Manager looking to join a stable regional business with a consistent pipeline of work across the South.
The Project
You will be managing a £900k commercial refurbishment project, with responsibility for coordinating site activities from commencement through to handover.
The scheme will involve:
- Commercial refurbishment works
- Internal alterations and upgrades
- Coordination of subcontractor packages
- Fit-out and finishing works
- Services coordination
- Health & safety management
- Client and consultant liaison
- Quality control and snagging through to completion
Key Responsibilities
Site Delivery & Coordination
- Manage day-to-day site operations on a £900k commercial refurbishment scheme.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, materials and site logistics.
- Drive the programme and ensure works are delivered safely, on time and to specification.
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, quality and site presentation.
- Carry out inductions, toolbox talks, inspections and progress reporting.
- Liaise with the client, consultants and internal project team.
- Manage snagging, finishing works and handover requirements.
