About the Role As our Head of Operational Support, you will be responsible for supporting the Operations support functions and the Operational team in ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of day to day services to the customer whilst maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, cost and delivery. You will be directly responsible for the resource planning and allocation / quality and oversee any project activity on site. As part of your key responsibilities you’ll:
• Lead all Production Control processes for the manufacturing logistics operation, ensuring all operational requirements are met and delivered in a timely manner • Ensure monthly, weekly and daily resource planning and allocation is communicated to the Operational team including previous days/ weeks/ months performance, highlighting areas for improvement • Lead Major projects or programmes to deliver significant business and I.T change in that is critical to customer service, Unipart business development or requiring investment from Unipart to support an agreed business case • Ensure that operational performance meets business targets and client expectations, driving operational improvements and cost down initiatives based on the principals of the Unipart Way • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with the client and key suppliers • Drive a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement within operations • Recruit exceptional people into the business and then develop colleagues through, using succession planning for the future – and have overall accountability for compliance with legal and ethical people management practice, ensuring employee relations success • Create an environment of continuous improvement to deliver operational and client relation improvements

• Demonstrable knowledge of production control and resource planning in a 3PL environment • Ability to adapt to and drive change • Clear communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels • Process Design and Improvement experience • Demonstrable experience of leading projects and quality • Customer focused
