What the job actually involves
You'd be:
- Driving a 7.5-tonne lorry (not a standard van)
- Working in a 2-person team (so you'll have a helper with you)
- Delivering heavy furniture, appliances, and electrical goods into homes
- Doing multiple stops per day (multi-drop)
- Physically lifting and carrying bulky items into customer properties
- Doing vehicle checks, paperwork, and tachograph compliance
What you need
- UK C1 licence (allows 7.5t vehicles)
- Driver CPC (mandatory for professional driving)
- Digital tachograph card
- Good fitness (this is physically demanding work)
- Customer service mindset
Hours & pay structure
- 48 hours per week
- Likely early starts
- Weekly bonus + overtime
