Hays Education are proud to be working in partnership with a Good-rated Academy located on the outskirts of Manchester/Wigan, who are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Qualified GCSE Dance Teacher to join their team on a part-time basis from September until October Half Term (23rd October).
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate Dance specialist to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering GCSE Dance alongside Core PE lessons. The school welcomes applications from experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are eager to make a positive impact within a supportive and well-established academy environment.
The Role
- Deliver engaging and high-quality GCSE Dance lessons to Key Stage 4 students.
- Teach Core Physical Education across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- Plan, prepare and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum and examination requirements.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support achievement.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages participation and success.
- Work collaboratively with the wider PE and Performing Arts departments.
The Successful Candidate Will Have
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching GCSE Dance (essential).
- Ability to teach Core PE confidently.
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
- A passion for Dance and Physical Education with the ability to motivate and engage learners.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one through Hays.
