This is a varied and hands on position where you'll help coordinate daily operations, maintain high quality standards and build strong relationships with colleagues, suppliers and operational partners. The Opportunity:
As an Operations Lead, you'll play a key role in:
- Supporting operational planning to ensure safe, efficient and effective daily activities.
- Coordinating inbound vessel movements, including scheduling, unloading and communication with all relevant stakeholders.
- Monitoring stock levels and helping to optimise stock availability and stock turn.
- Building strong working relationships with external storage providers, suppliers and contractors.
- Maintaining accurate operational records while supporting compliance with industry regulations, FEMAS standards and internal quality procedures.
- Monitoring operational performance, identifying improvements and escalating issues where appropriate.
- Providing operational support and informed decision making when covering for the Operations Manager.
Your work will directly contribute to maintaining exceptional operational standards while supporting the continued growth and success of the business.
About You:
We're looking for someone who can bring:
- Experience within an operations, logistics, manufacturing or terminal environment.
- A solid understanding of operational processes within a terminal or logistics setting.
- Strong organisational, planning and operational coordination skills.
- Excellent problem solving skills with the confidence to make informed decisions.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accuracy.
- The ability to prioritise workloads and remain effective under pressure.
- Good IT skills and confidence using business systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A full UK driving licence.
