Sales Development Representative (SDR) – IT Managed Services (UK MSP)
Location: Hybrid – Abingdon or Southampton, UK

Salary: between £30 000 and £45 000 DOE + Commission
About the Role
Our client, a leading IT Managed Service Provider (MSP), is looking for a driven and goal-oriented Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join its expanding New Business team.
This role plays a vital part in spotting and developing new business opportunities, helping to grow our portfolio of Managed IT, Cybersecurity, and Digital Transformation solutions. You will collaborate closely with the Business Development Director to research potential markets, engage key decision-makers, and create a strong pipeline of qualified sales opportunities.
This opportunity suits someone ambitious who enjoys outbound prospecting, relationship building, and developing a long-term career in technology sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and identify new business prospects through cold calling, email outreach, networking, and market analysis.
- Qualify leads and arrange meetings with senior decision-makers for the wider sales team.
- Promote attendance and participation in company events, webinars, and marketing campaigns through proactive engagement.
- Follow up on meetings and events to nurture and maintain strong prospect relationships.
- Assess inbound leads to ensure alignment with the company’s ideal customer profile.
- Accurately update CRM systems to maintain a well-structured and active sales pipeline.
- Work closely with the Marketing team to improve messaging and share feedback on lead quality and campaign performance.
- Consistently meet or exceed targets related to outreach, activity levels, and opportunity creation.
Skills & Experience Required
Essential
- Background in B2B sales, telemarketing, telesales, lead generation, or a similar SDR role
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with confidence engaging senior stakeholders
- Proven experience working in a target-driven and performance-focused environment
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities
- Familiarity with CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools
- Ability to manage several outreach campaigns at the same time
Desirable
- Interest in or exposure to IT Managed Services, Cybersecurity, Cloud, or broader technology sectors
- Understanding of B2B sales cycles and pipeline development
- Experience interacting with senior-level or C-suite decision-makers
