Key responsibilities
- Lead and develop a transactional finance team, promoting high performance and continuous improvement
- Take ownership of financial systems, ensuring data integrity, security, and effective system use
- Oversee the delivery of accurate and timely payments, maintaining strong financial controls
- Support audit processes, risk management, and fraud prevention activities
- Provide guidance on statutory and regulatory requirements including VAT, CIS, and IR35
- Produce financial reports and analysis to support decision-making
- Manage month-end and year-end processes, including reconciliations
- Work closely with stakeholders to improve and embed best practice across purchase-to-pay processes
What you'll need to succeed
- Part Qualified or AAT Level 4
- Experience working in a similar role
- Experience in Finance Operations and ERP Systems
- Strong knowledge of P2P processes
- Team leadership experience
- Have experience working in the public sector
