Bennett and Game are partnering with an IT & Cyber Security company actively looking to take on a Junior Engineer to assist in the growth within their business based in Waterlooville.
This is a fantastic opportunity to get real on the job training and development alongside nationally recognised certifications and eventually progressing into 2 and 3 Line Support Engineer roles.
As a 1st Line Engineer, you'll be the first point of contact for our customers when issues arise. Your primary responsibility is to deliver friendly, professional support and learn fast.
1st Line Support Engineer Job Overview
- Respond to incoming support requests via phone, email, and ticketing system.
- Log and triage tickets accurately.
- Resolve straightforward technical issues with support from the team.
- Escalate more complex issues appropriately.
- Maintain clear and professional communication with clients.
- Follow internal documentation and standard operating procedures.
- Engage in training, shadowing, and continual learning.
1st Line Support Engineer Job Requirements
- A genuine interest in IT and a willingness to learn.
- Some exposure to IT support or customer service is a plus, but not required.
- Great communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow processes.
- Friendly and professional attitude.
- Curious, self-motivated, and a team player.
1st Line Support Engineer Salary & Benefits
- £26,000-£35,000 base salary DOE
- Monday – Friday (office hours)
- Full on the job training and certifications
28 days holiday (inclusive of bank holidays)
