Construction Technician
Location: South London Salary: £25 per hour Contract: Temporary Start Date: August 2026 – February 2027
This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality construction education, working closely with teaching staff and learners across a range of construction disciplines.
The Role:
As a Construction Technician, you will be responsible for supporting practical lessons, maintaining workshops and equipment, preparing materials and resources, and ensuring that all learning environments are safe, organised, and fully operational. You will work closely with curriculum teams to provide an outstanding learning experience for students.
Key Responsibilities:
* Preparing and setting up workshops, tools, equipment, and materials for practical sessions * Supporting lecturers and students during practical activities * Maintaining workshops to ensure a safe and effective learning environment * Carrying out routine maintenance, stock control, and ordering of materials * Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and college procedures * Assisting with the organisation and storage of equipment and resources * Supporting curriculum delivery across construction programmes where required
Requirements:
* Previous experience working within the construction industry or an educational workshop environment * Good knowledge of construction tools, equipment, and safe working practices * Relevant vocational qualifications within Construction * Strong organisational and communication skills * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * A commitment to supporting learners and maintaining high standards
