We're seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to help design, build, and evolve a large-scale Azure-based GenAI platform. This role will focus on cloud infrastructure engineering, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and platform automation, ensuring scalable, secure, and repeatable environments that enable AI workloads across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and manage Azure cloud infrastructure supporting enterprise GenAI platforms and services.
- Develop, maintain, and optimise Terraform modules and Infrastructure as Code frameworks for provisioning and managing cloud resources at scale.
- Automate platform deployment and lifecycle management using GitOps and CI/CD practices.
- Engineer and maintain core Azure platform services, including networking, identity, security, storage, and compute components.
- Implement and enforce cloud governance through Azure Policy, policy-as-code, and automated compliance controls.
- Build reusable infrastructure patterns, templates, and reference architectures to support application and AI engineering teams.
- Drive platform reliability, scalability, security, and operational excellence through automation and observability.
- Collaborate with security, architecture, and engineering teams to ensure infrastructure aligns with enterprise standards and regulatory requirements.
- Support platform modernisation initiatives, landing zone implementation, and cloud adoption programmes.
- Contribute to platform documentation, standards, and engineering best practices.
Required Skills
- Strong Azure cloud engineering experience, including infrastructure design and deployment.
- Advanced Terraform expertise, including module development, state management, and large-scale IaC implementations.
- Proven experience provisioning and managing Azure environments using Infrastructure as Code.
- Strong understanding of Azure networking, security, identity, governance, and monitoring services.
- Experience implementing GitOps, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation.
- Knowledge of Azure Policy, policy-as-code approaches, and cloud governance frameworks.
- Experience designing secure, highly available, and scalable cloud platforms.
- Familiarity with enterprise cloud operating models, landing zones, and platform engineering principles.
- Strong troubleshooting, stakeholder engagement, and technical communication skills.
Desirable
- Experience supporting Azure AI services, Azure AI Foundry, OpenAI, or GenAI platforms.
- Experience with OPA/Rego and advanced governance tooling.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes, AKS, and container platforms.
- Experience working within highly regulated enterprise environments.
