Job Title: Workshop Technician
Location: Milton Keynes
Start: ASAP
Type: Contract – 6 Months Potential to go permanent
Hours: 37 hours (options for overtime)
Rate: £15 per hour
Position Summary: To assemble, test and despatch products against customer orders for a supplier of Entry systems for the Rail Industry.
Duties include: Checking products at pre-installation stage Refurbishing mechanical products and entry systems Testing products and systems To assemble and test products to workshop instructions. (Mechanical) Completing and filing works orders and test sheets Checking in of deliveries and signing off packing lists Packing, labelling and despatching of products/orders using core IT systems Assisting with the sorting and recycling of metal waste. Adhering to and assisting with the maintenance of ISO 9001 quality management system. Assist with stocktaking. To assist Engineering project team as and when required.
Experience / Qualifications: Experience in a workshop / warehouse environment – Some assembly and production experience – Good work ethic
