Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with a welcoming secondary school in Wellingborough seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher to join their successful English department from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to develop their career in a positive and well-resourced environment.
The successful candidate will inspire students through engaging lessons that develop a love of literature, language, and creative expression, while supporting pupils to achieve their full academic potential.
The Role

Deliver high-quality English Language and English Literature lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.

Plan, prepare, and assess engaging lessons that challenge and motivate learners.

Monitor and track student progress, providing effective feedback to support achievement.

Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes high standards of behaviour and attainment.

Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all students, including those with SEND and EAL.

Contribute to departmental initiatives, enrichment activities, and wider school life.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

A degree in English or a related subject.

Experience teaching English within a secondary school setting.

Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.

A commitment to raising standards and improving outcomes for all learners.

Excellent communication and organisational skills.

A genuine passion for English and education.
