1:1 Teaching Assistant – Primary School – Islington – September Start – Full Time – Long Term – £90-£110 Per Day (depending on experience)

  • 1:1 Teaching Assistant required in Islington
  • 1:1 Teaching Assistant required to start in September
  • 1:1 Teaching Assistant required to support a Year 3 pupil with ADHD
  • Previous SEN experience is essential

The Role – 1:1 Teaching Assistant

As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will provide dedicated support to a Year 3 child with ADHD, helping them engage with lessons, build confidence, and make progress both academically and socially. Working alongside the class teacher and SENCO, you will implement personalised support strategies and encourage positive behaviour and independence throughout the school day. The successful candidate will be proactive, caring and passionate about supporting children with additional needs. Previous experience working with pupils with ADHD or other SEN is essential.

This welcoming and inclusive primary school is based in Islington and is just a short 5 minute walk from the nearest train station. The school caters for pupils aged 3-11 and provides a nurturing environment where every child can thrive. With a strong SEN department and a supportive leadership team, staff are well equipped to meet the needs of pupils with SEN, including ASD and ADHD. The school has been rated 'Good' by Ofsted.
