Location: Alness, Scottish Highlands
Salary: Up to £18.50 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:30 – 17:00 (45 hours per week)
Overview
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Fabricator / Welder on behalf of a well-established engineering and manufacturing business.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and growing workshop environment, working on a variety of fabrication projects and producing high-quality components.
Key Responsibilities
Fabrication of metal components from engineering drawings
MIG and/or TIG welding to a high standard
Cutting, bending, and assembling materials
Working with a range of materials including mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium
Ensuring all work meets required quality standards
Carrying out basic inspections of completed work
Maintaining a safe and organised working environment
Working independently and as part of a team to meet production deadlines
Requirements
Proven experience as a Fabricator / Welder
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Experience with MIG and/or TIG welding
Strong attention to detail and quality
Good understanding of health & safety within a workshop environment
Reliable and able to meet deadlines
Desirable
Relevant welding or fabrication qualifications
Experience using workshop machinery (press brake, guillotine, etc.)
Previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment
