Project Manager
Location: Central Belt, Scotland (hybrid after initial training)

An exciting opportunity is available for a Project Manager to join a growing organisation within a highly regulated, technology-driven environment. This role will focus on delivering complex, cross-functional projects, ensuring outputs are achieved in line with robust design control and project management processes.
This opportunity would suit both experienced Project and Junior Project Managers looking to progress their career in a structured and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of multiple projects simultaneously
- Manage cross-functional project teams within a matrix environment
- Develop and maintain project plans, ensuring timelines, budgets, and deliverables are met
- Chair project meetings and ensure alignment across technical teams and stakeholders
- Manage external suppliers and third parties to deliver project objectives
- Monitor project progress, identifying and mitigating risks, issues, and changes
- Ensure all activities and documentation align with design control and regulatory requirements
- Provide regular updates and formal reporting to project stakeholders and senior leadership
- Support programme-level activities and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
About You
- Degree qualified in a scientific discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Proven project management experience, with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
- Experience leading cross-functional teams in a matrix environment
- Strong understanding of project planning, monitoring, and delivery methodologies
- Confident stakeholder manager with excellent communication skills
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to perform in fast-paced environments
Desirable Experience
- Experience within a regulated industry such as medical devices, life sciences, or advanced manufacturing
- Knowledge of IVDR or regulatory-driven projects
- Exposure to ISO 13485 and/or FDA CFR 820 design control processes
- Understanding of CE marking and/or FDA submission requirements
- Formal project management certification (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP, Agile)
Skills & Competencies
- Strong working knowledge of MS Project and Microsoft Office tools
- Experience using virtual collaboration tools (e.g. Teams, Zoom)
- Ability to manage risk, resolve conflict, and navigate both tactical and strategic challenges
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capability
