Rediscover your passion for healthcare in the stunning landscapes of New Zealand. We are seeking UK-trained Nurse Practitioners (ANPs, ACPs) who are ready for a significant career and lifestyle change. This is your chance to practice patient-centered healthcare in a system that values clinical excellence, continuity of care, and meaningful patient relationships.

Why Move to New Zealand?

As a Nurse Practitioner in New Zealand, you can expect:

  • Longer consultation times that enable comprehensive, patient-focused care.
  • Greater continuity of care and stronger nurse-patient relationships.
  • A supportive primary care environment where clinical autonomy is valued.
  • Excellent earning potential with competitive remuneration packages.
  • Reduced commuting times and an improved work-life balance.
  • Opportunities in urban, regional, coastal, and rural communities.
  • A clear pathway to permanent residency through New Zealand's immigration system.
  • The chance to build a long-term future for yourself and your family.

Practise Nursing in a Culture of Connection

New Zealand places great importance on relationships, community, and belonging. The Maori concept of whakawhanaungatanga reflects the value of building meaningful connections with people and communities, and this philosophy is deeply embedded within healthcare.

As a Nurse Practitioner, you'll become a valued member of the community you serve, developing long-term relationships with patients and their whanau (family). You'll have the opportunity to practice nursing in a way that is personal, relationship-driven, and deeply rewarding.

Live the Lifestyle You've Always Wanted

Imagine finishing your clinic and being home 15 minutes later. Instead of spending hours commuting, you'll have more time to enjoy what makes New Zealand special:

  • Hiking and mountain biking
  • Sailing and fishing
  • Surfing and water sports
  • Camping and outdoor adventures
  • World-class food and wine
  • More quality time with family and friends

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality primary healthcare to diverse patient populations.
  • Diagnose, manage, and treat acute and chronic health conditions.
  • Provide preventative healthcare and health promotion initiatives.
  • Build long-term therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Contribute to improving community health outcomes.
  • Deliver culturally responsive care to patients from diverse backgrounds.

Requirements

  • Recognised Nurse Practitioner qualification (e.g., MSc Nursing).
  • Eligible for registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand.
  • Current registration and good standing in your home country.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
  • Interest in living and working in New Zealand.
  • An appreciation for working within multicultural communities and culturally responsive healthcare settings.

What's on Offer?

  • Salary from NZD $9100,000 – $150,000+ depending on location, experience, and practice model.
  • Permanent full-time employment opportunities.
  • Relocation assistance available (role dependent).
  • Support with Nursing Council registration and immigration processes.
  • Green List occupation with residency pathways available.
  • Family-friendly communities and excellent schooling options.
  • A balanced lifestyle with access to some of the world's most spectacular natural environments.
  • The opportunity to build a rewarding career and exceptional quality of life.
