This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Finance Assistant looking to develop their accounting career in a collaborative environment.
The Opportunity
Reporting into the Finance Manager, you'll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day finance operations of the business. This position would suit someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is keen to broaden their finance knowledge while studying towards a professional qualification.
You'll join a friendly and experienced finance team who are passionate about developing talent and providing ongoing support and mentorship.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
- Managing banking transactions and payment runs
- Preparing and issuing sales invoices
- Processing employee expenses
- Reconciling supplier statements
- Liaising with suppliers regarding account queries and payments
- Supporting the Finance Manager with month-end activities
- Assisting with financial reporting and ad-hoc finance tasks
- Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function
About You
- Previous experience within a Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant, Purchase Ledger or similar finance role
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Proactive approach with a willingness to learn
- Comfortable working with finance systems and Microsoft Excel
- Studying AAT, ACCA or CIMA
