eFinancialCareers

Job Purpose

The key objective of the Manager, Data Management and User Experience role is to transform and replace End-User Developed Applications (EUDAs) with scalable, user-centric, platform-based solutions, primarily using Tableau, as well as to build solutions that are not only technically sound but also intuitive, usable, and valuable to end users.

You will work closely with business domain experts in the Risk, Treasury, and Operations teams in ICE Clear Europe, one of the world's largest clearing houses, to define, manage, and own the data model underpinning core business processes, and build insightful reporting on top of this consolidated data layer.

The role requires hands-on experience across both business analysis and data solution development. Ability to work effectively with stakeholders at different levels while also delivering technical outputs. Acting as a product owner for the full lifecycle of data visualization, governance and change management of key data sources used across the clearing house.

This role will act as a bridge between the business and data layer, delivering solutions that are not only technically correct but also widely adopted and trusted by users. The role requires a willingness to challenge existing approaches and continuously improve them.

The successful candidate must be able to turn loosely defined problems into structured, user-centric solutions and demonstrate strong ownership of deliverables and outcomes.

    • Engage with stakeholders to understand business needs and pain points

  • Develop and maintain data flows using Tableau Prep
  • Work extensively with SQL-based data sources to support reporting and analytics needs
  • Drive the transition from EUDA-based processes to governed, platform-based solutions
  • Own and contribute to data governance and change management processes for core data sources
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Risk, IT, and Data teams
  • Apply a flexible SDLC approach: Operate in agile mode when rapid iteration is required and utilize structured analysis and detailed documentation when appropriate
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across all deliverables
  • Contribute to improving data governance standards and practices within the team
  • Potentially support or manage junior team members over time

Knowledge and Experience

  • Hands-on experience across both Business analysis (stakeholder engagement, requirements gathering) and data solution development (data preparation and dashboard delivery)
  • Solid understanding of coding principles, data structures, and logic
  • Ability to read and understand code is essential
  • Strong working knowledge of SQL, Tableau (Desktop), and Tableau Prep
  • Experience working with or replacing End-User Developed Applications (EUDAs)
  • Strong focus on user experience, with the ability to design solutions that are intuitive and fit for purpose
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Flexible mindset with the ability to switch between fast-paced, iterative delivery and more structured analysis and documentation

Preferred Knowledge and Experience

  • Experience in financial services / fintech, particularly within a clearing house or similar environment
  • An understanding of financial services concepts such as margin requirements, treasury operations, risk management, collateral processes, regulatory reporting, portfolio analysis, and margin models
