Teaching Assistant – Peterborough

Tradewind Recruitment is working closely with a number of welcoming primary schools across Peterborough that are looking to recruit enthusiastic and dependable General Teaching Assistants to join their teams.
Whether you're an experienced Teaching Assistant, a recent graduate considering a career in education, or someone with childcare or youth work experience, this is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience while enjoying regular, well-paid work.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 classrooms
- Working with individual pupils and small intervention groups
- Assisting teachers with classroom activities and lesson preparation
- Helping to create a positive, engaging learning environment
- Providing additional support for children with a range of learning needs
We have a variety of positions available, including flexible day-to-day supply work as well as longer-term placements.

To be considered for this General Teaching Assistant role, you will need:
- Previous experience working with children in any setting
- A positive, adaptable, and professional attitude
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
- An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or a willingness to obtain one
