Accounts Assistant Manager – Pitstone – £55,000 to £65,000

This is an Accounts Assistant Manager position within a growing, tech-enabled accountancy practice that has expanded significantly over recent years and continues to invest heavily in both its people and technology.
You'll manage your own portfolio while supporting and developing junior team members, working closely with senior management across a varied client base.
The Role
As an Accounts Assistant Manager, you'll be responsible for a broad range of general practice work, including:
- Managing a portfolio of owner-managed business clients
- Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts
- Preparing and reviewing corporation tax returns
- Supervising, reviewing and mentoring junior members of the team
- Acting as the main point of contact for clients
- Identifying opportunities to improve client service and internal processes
- Supporting managers and directors with more complex assignments as required
This is a varied role offering exposure across accounts, corporation tax and client management rather than being pigeon-holed into one area.
What They're Looking For
- ACA or ACCA qualified, or qualified by experience with strong practice experience
- Recent UK accountancy practice experience
- Strong technical accounts knowledge
- Experience preparing corporation tax returns
- Comfortable reviewing work and supporting junior staff
- Confident dealing directly with clients
